This I believeā€¦

You will write a personal essay based on the above words. As a senior getting ready to leave the comfortable confines of AIS for the big, bad world, I want to know what it is that you stand for, what you believe, that will guide you on your way in the world. This assignment is about you and what it is you can and will contribute to the world. You should give me something that only you could write and something that tells a story that only you can tell.

The essay should be typed, double-space, and be between 550 and 700 words. It should also have a title. Because it is a personal essay, tell it from your point of view, using I and me (one of the few times you will be asked for this directly). Primarily this is a chance to prove to me that you do stand for something and got something from your years of education.

Due at the beginning of class, Tuesday, April 17, 2012. If you would like to do an audio podcast of the essay, they should also be completed for that day.
